Packaging:

The packaging of this product is absolutely stunning. The outer packaging is a thin cardboard exterior that has an iridescent finish, while the inner tin is a re-usable container.

Size & Cost:

The Glossy Posse set currently retails for $42, it includes five shades of the gloss bombs coming in at 0.18 oz per gloss. The five lippies include four new shades to the range as well as one of the best selling colors.
The full sized of the gloss bomb retails at $18 and weighs in at 0.3 oz per tube. This set totals at 0.9 oz of product coming in less expensive than 3 separate tubes of the gloss bombs combined, yet you get 5 different shades to try!
The stand-out feature of this kit is that Fenty Beauty did not skimp on the applicator, every single gloss bomb in the set contains their signature XXL lip wand, an oversize doe foot applicator that picks up enough product in a single dunk.
In terms of value and variety, this item is definitely making it to a holiday favorites list.

Swatches & Colors:

First Shade: Pretty Please
This is a gorgeous bright hot pink essentially neon barbie pink; very reminiscent of the hot pink Chanel 19FW Gabrielle Bag. This gloss bomb has quite a chunky consistency, but not uncomfortable. It shines through with flecks of cool tone pink glitter and gold giving it just an oomph of warmth to the shade.

Second Shade: Fu$$Y
Fu$$Y is one of the best selling shades in the Fenty Beauty gloss bomb range simply because it is so wear-able. It is an awesome nudey-pink with a tint of brown mixture sealed with a champagne finish, it’s practically a universal ‘my lips but better’ lip gloss. This color is suitable for most skin tones, the shade almost brightens the skin because of the touch of peachy undertone.

Third Shade: Confetti
This color is an exciting color for the holiday season, it literally screams New Year’s Eve to me. This shade is very reminiscent of Guerlain’s limited edition Gloss d’Enfer Maxi in shade Star Dust (900) which was a whooping $36.
This shade is a clear-milky tone with lots of blue-violet specks in it to reflect light like no other. When I look at this shade straight on, it makes me think of mother of pearl with less white opacity. If this gloss bomb is paired with Fenty Beauty Diamond Bomb, they’ll definitely see you glowing and glossing from Mars.

Fourth Shade: Hot Chocolit
This is definitely a shade that I normally would not gravitate towards, but when I look at this color it really reminds me of the quote, “never judge a book by its cover”. If you look at it a little bit longer, you’ll find a gleaming golden cranberry sheen being hugged by this 90ties brown hue. For this autumnal season, it will be very interesting to see this topped over a brown-mauve lipstick.

Fifth Shade: Cheeky
This is the final shade in the kit, named Cheeky. I originally thought that it was kind of odd that Fenty Beauty would put a non-Christmas red in this kit considering it was a holiday set. However, then I realized that this choice in tone served a purpose. Many of the lipstick shades that Fenty Beauty carries such as the Stunna Lip Paints and the Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipsticks have orange tones to it. Out of all the red lippies that Fenty Beauty has created, there really are only 2-3 shades that are true blue-tone reds, therefore it wouldn’t have made sense for Fenty Beauty to create a gloss bomb that would only work with a small amount of their lipsticks.
This shade is a bit tricky, in the tube it pulls more red, but when swatched, the color becomes almost a peachy-coral-red with gold shimmer in it. It would look fabulous over a red lip for Christmas, but it will also work for the corals and peaches that are often very popular in the Spring and Summer months.

Below are two photos that show the swatches with a little more zoom. On the left all the swatches are shown in Natural Light (the sunlight was beaming) and on the right all the swatches are shown in Flash.

Texture & Thoughts:

Texture:
The texture is decently consistent throughout. The only shades that felt like they had just a tad more grit, but barely would be Pretty Please and Hot Chocolit. Perhaps due to the glitter particle sizes, these two shades seem to clump a little bit more — MINOR, but just a tiny bit.

Thoughts:
This holiday set from Fenty Beauty is absolutely up to par with my expectations! I would highly recommend this as a gift to yourself or to anyone you know that may like glossy, plump lips. The shade range is very versatile and the best part is that all of these can be used on their own or as lipstick toppers. It’s one of those things in the makeup cabinet that can be thrown into a look at any time and for anything.
But! There’s always a big but right? If you or the person love pigment, this may not be the kit for you — these lippies definitely provide a hint of color, but will not drench the lip in that base color.
For the price, quality, and quantity this is an awesome set!

Overall Thoughts: Absolutely Worth it!
